Detroit Tigers third baseman Nick Castellanos (hand) is still at least a week away from playing a full simulated game, according to manager Brad Ausmus.
Castellanos only took one rehab at-bat on Wednesday, when it was thought he might be in for a simulated game. A broken left hand has kept Castellanos out since August 6.
Castellanos is having a career year from the dish, slashing .286/.331/.500 with a career-high .350 wOBA and .214 ISO through 432 plate appearances.
