Dellin Betances allows two runs in the ninth in Yankees' loss

New York Yankees closer Dellin Betances had a rough game on Wednesday, allowing one hit and two runs --though no earned runs -- in a loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

What It Means:

The game was tied 0-0 when Betances entered the game to start the ninth inning, and he allowed a no-out RBI double for the first run. The second score came on a throwing error by Betances. Those proved to be the only runs of the game.

Despite the hiccup, Betances has been having a strong season, and owns a 2.33 ERA with a 1.75 SIERA, as well as a career-best 43.2 percent strikeout rate through 69 2/3 innings pitched.
