Cardinals activate Michael Wacha (shoulder) from disabled list
The St. Louis Cardinals have activated pitcher Michael Wacha from the 15-day disabled list.
A scapula injury (the same one that ended his 2014 season prematurely) has held Wacha out since August 8, and he will be returning in a reliever role for the Caridnals.
It has been a rough season for the 25-year-old Wacha, posting career-worsts with a 4.45 ERA and 4.31 SIERA across 131 1/3 innings pitched. His ERA and SIERA have both progressively gotten worse with each season he has played in the majors.
