Josh Donaldson (thumb, hip) not in the Blue Jays' lineup Wednesday
Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson (thumb, hip) is out of the lineup again on Wednesday as the Jays take on the Tampa Bay Rays.
What It Means:
This is three straight missed starts for Donaldson, who is nursing a hip injury as well as a lingering thumb issue. Ryan Goins will start at third and bat ninth on Wednesday.
Donaldson is having yet another huge year from the dish, slashing .284/.400/.552 with a career-high .402 wOBA and a .268 ISO through 622 plate appearances.
