Tigers' Daniel Norris strikes out 11 in no-decision against Twins
Detroit Tigers pitcher Daniel Norris struck out 11 over 6 1/3 innings as the Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins 4-2 on Monday.
Those 11 strikeouts crushed Norris' previous career-high of 8 that he set earlier this season. He also gave up five hits, two earned runs and two walks, ultimately picking up a no-decision in the game.
It hasn't been an overly impressive season for Norris, with a 3.81 ERA and 4.09 SIERA, though he is on pace for career-bests in SIERA, strikeout rate (22.4 percent) and walk rate (7.5 percent) through 52 innings pitched on the year.
