Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco (thumb) is back in the starting lineup on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
A jammed right thumb kept Franco out for much of last week. He'll cover the hot corner and hit third on Monday. Franco is slashing .247/.299/.423 in 549 plate appearances this season.
Franco's .305 wOBA this year is disappointing, considering he posted a .360 wOBA last season (335 plate appearances). He does have 22 home runs, however. We project Franco to hit two more taters and post a .706 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
