Carlos Correa in Astros' lineup Monday night
Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa will be in the starting lineup on Monday night against the Texas Rangers.
Correa, who is battling an injury to his left shoulder, made an early exit during Sunday's loss to the Chicago Cubs, but apparently it was just precautionary. The Astros were down 9-0 at the time of his departure. The injury is something Correa will evidently be able to play through during the home stretch of the season, however, there are never guarantees with shoulder issues. The 21 year-old is slashing .275/.363/.461 in 587 plate appearances this season.
Correa has 19 home runs, 12 stolen bases and a .354 wOBA (league average is .318) this year. We project him to hit three more taters, steal two more bases and post an .867 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
