Pirates' Josh Harrison (groin) will need 'significant' time on shelf

Pittsburgh Pirates second baseman Josh Harrison (groin) needs "significant" down time, general manager Neal Huntington said in a radio interview.

What It Means:

Huntington didn't go as far to say so, but it sounds like it could be a season-ender for Harrison. He left Saturday's game with the ailment and Sean Rodriguez is replacing him on Sunday. Adam Frazier could also see some starts at second for Pittsburgh.

Harrison is slashing .283/.311/.388 with a .300 wOBA over 522 appearances at the plate. He has 57 runs, 59 RBI's and 19 swipes on the year.
