Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup Friday against the Chicago White Sox.
When Perez swings a bat, his right wrist continues to bother him, so he'll take a seat for a second consecutive game. Drew Butera will again replace him behind the dish. Perez is slashing .254/.297/.454 in 482 plate appearances this season.
Perez's 20 home runs are one shy of tying the most he's hit in a season, while his .199 ISO is a career-high. His .318 wOBA is just below the current league average (.319), however. We project the 26 year-old to hit three more taters and post a .732 OPS over the rest of the year.
