Andre Ethier

Dodgers' Andre Ethier (leg) could be activated Friday

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier (leg) is headed to Miami to join the club and could be activated from the disabled list as soon as Friday.

What It Means:

Over his last two rehab contests, Ethier tallied four hits -- including a home run -- which was apparently enough for the Dodgers to feel that he was ready to return. The 34-year-old split time between left field, right field and the designated hitter role during his rehab assignment, but it's not yet known how often he would be able to play in the outfield, coming off of a fractured tibia. However, Ethier is likely to earn playing time against right-handed pitchers.

Ethier is having a nice bounce-back season, slashing .294/.366/.486 with 14 home runs, a .192 ISO and a .366 wOBA in 445 plate appearances. His ISO and wOBA are his highest marks since 2010.
