Phillies' Maikel Franco day-to-day with a jammed thumb
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco has a jammed right thumb, and should be considered day-to-day.
The injury came on Sunday, and while he played through it on both Monday and Tuesday, the issue is still lingering, and he took Wednesday night off.
It has been a bit of a rough year from the dish for Franco, who is slashing .246/.298/.423 through 547 plate appearances. His .304 wOBA and .177 ISO are big steps down from his 2015 numbers.
