Royals' Salvador Perez (wrist) doesn't have fracture, X-rays confirm
Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez's additional X-rays for his right wrist contusion confirmed there was no fracture.
Perez was plunked by a pitch on the wrist on Tuesday. Despite being in noticeable pain after getting hit, X-rays appear to have revealed no structural damage. He should be considered day-to-day moving forward and there is optimism that Perez will be available Friday against the Chicago White Sox.
Perez owns a .254/.297/.454 slash and .318 wOBA in 482 plate appearances this season. He has 59 RBI's in 2016 and his 20 home runs are one short of matching his career-best mark from last year.
