Matt Wieters sitting for Orioles' matchup with Tampa Bay
Baltimore Orioles catcher Matt Wieters is out of the Orioles' starting lineup on Wednesday.
It's just a standard day off for Wieters, who will be a free agent following the season. Caleb Joseph is handling squatting duties for Baltimore and will bat ninth versus Rays southpaw Drew Smyly.
Wieters has been having a rough season from the dish, slashing .244/.300/.392 through 390 plate appearances with a career-low .299 wOBA. He's notched 12 home runs and 53 RBI's on the year.
