Orioles' Chris Davis (hand) out of the lineup Wednesday
Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis (hand) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Davis left Tuesday's game early due to soreness in his palm, though it's an issue he says he has been struggling with all season, so don't expect him to miss any significant amount of time. Steve Pearce will start at first base and bat fifth on Wednesday.
Sore hand or not, Davis has been having a strong year from the dish, slashing .229/.340/.486 with a .352 wOBA and .258 ISO through 567 plate appearances.
