Yadier Molina slugs a grand slam as Cardinals beat Pirates

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina had four hits on Tuesday, including a first-inning grand slam as the Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-7.

What It Means:

Molina has certainly shown an uptick in power recently, with three of his seven home runs this season having come in his last five games. He has added six runs scored and six RBI's in that span (24 plate appearances).

The 34-year-old Molina has bounced back a bit from a couple of down years from the dish, and is slashing .296/.352/.418 with a .334 wOBA through 492 plate appearances.
