Jung Ho Kang blasts two home runs in Pirates' loss
Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Jung Ho Kang had two home runs on 3-for-5 hitting as the Pirates fell to the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday.
This was Kang's first start since returning from a shoulder injury (he was limited to a pinch-hitting role on Monday), and he made the most of it, blasting his 15th and 16th home runs of the season and bringing himself up to 44 RBI's on the year.
While Kang's batting average and on-base percentage have fallen a bit to last year, his power numbers have improved in a big way, and he is slashing .249/.330/.506 with a .355 wOBA and .257 ISO through 273 plate appearances on the season.
