Lorenzo Cain (wrist) aiming to return to Royals' lineup Friday

Kansas City Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain (wrist) is aiming to return to the starting lineup this Friday.

What It Means:

An injury to Cain's left wrist has sidelined him since August 30. He's struggling with grip strength and experiencing some lingering discomfort. For Tuesday night's contest against the Minnesota Twins, Jarrod Dyson will lead off and start in center field for the Royals.

Cain has struggled a bit this season, slashing .287/.336/.409 through 429 plate appearances. His .320 wOBA is his lowest since 2013.
