Stephen Piscotty (wrist) leaves Cardinals game as safety precaution

St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Stephen Piscotty (wrist) left Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates for precautionary reasons.

What It Means:

The Cardinals are erring on the side of caution after Piscotty was hit in the left wrist by a pitch in the fifth frame. Kolten Wong replaced him Monday, but Piscotty should be fine moving forward. Consider him day-to-day.

Piscotty is slashing .275/.348/.468 with a .351 wOBA across 550 plate appearances this season. He has 20 home runs and 75 RBI's with 7 stolen bases in his second year in the bigs.
