Tigers' Ian Kinsler (finger) sitting Monday against White Sox
Detroit Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler (finger) is out of the starting lineup on Monday against the Chicago White Sox.
On Sunday, a hard grounder bounced off Kinsler's finger, but it's not a serious injury. The Tigers don't want him to rush things for their early-evening contest on Monday. Andrew Romine -- and his .283 wOBA this year -- will replace Kinsler at second base and hit ninth.
Kinsler is having an impressive season, slashing .279/.340/.475 with 25 home runs in 594 plate appearances. His .349 wOBA and .196 ISO are both his best marks since the 2011 season. We project Kinsler to hit three more taters and post a .781 OPS over the rest of the year.
