Rays lose despite Chris Archer's nine strikeouts
Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Chris Archer had nine strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings, but ended up taking a no-decision as the Rays fell 5-3 to the Toronto Blue Jays
Rays' bats haven't given Archer much help all year, and his 17 losses mark the most for a pitcher with 200-plus strikeouts in a season since 1990.
Archer has been playing better than his 4.06 ERA may let on this year, posting a 3.44 SIERA and 28.4 percent strikeout rate that are both better than his career averages.
