Brandon Phillips scratched from Reds lineup Saturday
Cincinnati Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips was scratched from the Reds lineup on Saturday due to a sore foot.
Phillips has been pretty hot at the plate lately, but he fouled a ball off his foot on Friday and he is still sore. Jose Peraza is in the game at second base and batting sixth against Jaime Garcia
Phillips is slashing .283/.317/.404 with a .309 wOBA across 500 plate appearances this season. He has nine homers and 53 RBI's on the year. It's been an underwhelming campaign for Phillips, who is posting a career-worst 3.6 walk rate.
