Jacob DeGrom expected to miss next Mets' start
New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom will likely miss his next scheduled start, the club announced Friday.
deGrom underwent an examination on Friday, and despite no structural damage being found, the Mets are opting to err on the side of caution. Rafael Montero could make another start in his place.
The 28-year-old right-hander owns a 3.48 xFIP, which is 11th best this season. We currently project him to record a 3.56 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP over the rest of the year.
