New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (quad) is not in the lineup Thursday.
What It Means:
He hasn't had a setback with his nagging quad ailment but is going to require some extra maintenance days off until he gets to 100 percent. The Mets called up Michael Conforto from Triple-A to start in left field in Cespedes' place.
Cespedes is having a fine year, despite injury. He has a slash line of .298/.369/.572 across 425 plate appearances, with 27 jacks and a .394 wOBA to boot.
