Cleveland Indians catcher Yan Gomes (shoulder) will be in the lineup as the designated hitter for Double-A Akron on Friday and Saturday.
Gomes has been out since July 17 with his shoulder injury, and he seems to be on-track to return to the majors on September 16, when he is first eligible.
Gomes is slashing .165/.198/.313 with a .219 wOBA on the year, which represent career-lows across the board. Through 262 appearances at the plate, he's recorded eight home runs and 32 RBI's.
