The Oakland Athletics have traded outfielder Coco Crisp to the Cleveland Indians in exchange for pitcher Colt Hynes.
The deal was agreed upon Tuesday night, and became official on Wednesday. Crisp will add depth to a depleted Indians outfield that has lost Michael Brantley to injury and Abraham Almonte to suspension.
The 36-year-old Crisp hasn't been particularly effective from the dish this season, slashing .234/.299/.399 with a .300 wOBA through 434 plate appearances.
