Diamondbacks recall Shelby Miller for start Wednesday against Giants
The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled pitcher Shelby Miller from Triple-A Reno.
Miller last started in the majors on July 7, and was sent down after allowing 25 runs over his last five starts (28 2/3 innings).
Miller has an ugly 7.14 ERA and 5.26 SIERA (both career-worsts) through 14 major league games this season, and posted a 3.91 ERA with a 26.3 percent strikeout rate in eight Triple-A starts.
