Denard Span leaves game for Giants with neck stiffness
San Francisco Giants center fielder Denard Span was forced out of Tuesday's game with neck stiffness.
What It Means:
Span will be reevaluated on Wednesday, and we should have more information on any potential missed time at that point. Gorkys Hernandez took over in center field when Span left the game.
Span has been having a bit of a rough year from the dish, slashing .275/.337/.391 through 537 plate appearances, with a .318 wOBA that is well below his career average.
