Wily Peralta tallies 10 strikeouts as Brewers top Cardinals Tuesday
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Wily Peralta dealt seven innings of one-run ball on Tuesday, striking out 10 as the Brewers ultimately fell 2-1 to the St. Louis Cardinals.
Peralta has had a fairly good month, only giving up more than two earned runs in one of his five starts since being called back up to the majors for his August 9 start.
Peralta is still sporting an ugly 5.53 ERA and 4.71 SIERA on the year, though, with a 16.2 percent strikeout rate, 8.7 percent walk rate and 1.65 WHIP through 96 innings pitched.
