Collin McHugh deals six shutout frames in Astros' win
Houston Astros pitcher Collin McHugh dealt six shutout frames on Tuesday as the Astros picked up a 3-1 win over the Oakland Athletics.
What It Means:
McHugh hadn't given up fewer than three runs in a start since July 23 (a six-start span), and this was only his third scoreless start of the season.
McHugh's 3.91 SIERA on the year is a lot more encouraging than his ugly 4.80 ERA, and he has posted a 22.5 percent strikeout rate, 6.3 percent walk rate and 1.49 WHIP through 148 innings pitched.
