Yulieski Gurriel taking a seat as Astros battle Oakland
Houston Astros designated hitter Yulieski Gurriel is out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Oakland Athletics.
Alex Bregman will start at third for Houston and Evan Gattis will serve as the designated hitter on Tuesday night versus Athletics right-hander Kendall Graveman. Gurriel might still be hampered by some tightness in his hamstring.
The 32-year-old Cuban is slashing .389/.450/.500 through his first seven major league games (20 plate appearances). His seven hits have come in the form of five singles and two doubles.
