Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Junior Guerra (elbow) will be activated from the disabled list to start Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Guerra, who hasn't pitched in the big leagues since August 3 because of right elbow inflammation, threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings for Triple-A Colorado Springs during a rehab start on Saturday. The 31 year-old rookie owns a surprising 2.93 ERA in 107 1/3 innings this year and for fantasy purposes, should be stashed in anticipation of his return.
Guerra's 4.21 xFIP suggests he's had some luck on his side this year. He owns a 20.9 strikeout percentage, which is just below the league average (21.0 percent). We currently project him to record a 3.88 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP in just under 12 innings pitched over the rest of the season.
