Pirates activate and option Tyler Glasnow
Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Tyler Glasnow has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
He has been out since July 23 with a shoulder injury, and while he really struggled through his first two major league games, rosters will expand on September 1, so he may find himself back on the big league roster as a result.
Glasnow has a 5.40 ERA and 5.24 SIERA through 8 1/3 innings pitched in the majors, but he has been outstanding in Triple-A this year, with a 1.89 ERA and 30.1 percent strikeout rate through 19 games.
