Reds' Homer Bailey dealing with biceps tendinitis

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Homer Bailey is dealing with tendinitis in his right biceps, per MLB.com's Mark Sheldon.

What It Means:

Bailey left Sunday's start after giving up four runs in the first inning, and the injury helps to explain the ugly performance.

Sunday's game wasn't exactly an outlier though, and since his July 31 season debut and return from Tommy John Surgery, he owns a 6.65 ERA through six starts. There is some room for optimism though, as he also has a 3.56 SIERA, which is better than his career-average, and a career-best 24.3 percent strikeout rate.
