Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera exits Sunday's game with arm injury

New York Mets shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera departed Sunday's game versus the Philadelphia Phillies with an apparent arm injury.

What It Means:

Cabrera collided with Phillies first baseman Tommy Joseph on a bunt single attempt and looked to injure either his arm or wrist. He initially stayed in the game, but was removed after showing some obvious pain. Jose Reyes shifted from third to shortstop, while Wilmer Flores came in and took over at third.

In his first season in New York, Cabrera is slashing .269/.320/.444 with a .326 wOBA over 438 plate appearances in 2016. He has 16 homers and 42 RBI's this season, but his walk rate is a career low 5.5 percent.
