Neil Walker not in Mets' lineup on Sunday
New York Mets second baseman Neil Walker (back) is not in the lineup Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Walker had a flare up with his back earlier this month that forced him to miss four games, so hopefully this is just some minor soreness. The Mets don't seem overly concerned, so Walker is just day-to-day for now. Kelly Johnson is starting at second on Sunday.
Walker is having a great season since being traded to New York, slashing .282/.347/.476 with a .355 wOBA over 458 appearances at the plate. He has 23 homers and 55 RBI's to go along with a 1.22 nERD.
