Zack Cozart (knee, heel) looks poised for Saturday return to Reds' lineup
Cincinnati Reds shortstop Zack Cozart (knee, heel) is expected to rejoin the starting lineup on Saturday.
What It Means:
The Reds can use him off the bench Friday, but Cozart will return to his starting spot at short for Saturday's tilt with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Knee and heel issues have sidelined him for over a week's worth of work. Jose Peraza will start again in his place Friday for Cincinnati.
Cozart's production from the dish has been pretty middling this year, as he is slashing .263/.313/.442 with a .320 wOBA and .179 ISO through 450 plate appearances.
