DJ LeMahieu (wrist) out as Rockies matchup with Washington

Colorado Rockies second baseman DJ LeMahieu (wrist) remains out of the starting lineup Friday against the Washington Nationals.

What It Means:

Inflammation in LeMahieu's left wrist has kept him out since Monday and he can be considered day-to-day. Daniel Descalso -- and his .341 wOBA -- will start at second base on Friday in LeMahieu's place.

LeMahieu is having an impressive season, slashing .344/.416/.501 with 10 home runs, 9 steals and a .393 wOBA, which ranks ninth-best. We project him to hit two more taters, steal four more bags and post a .798 OPS over the remaining course of the season.
