Mets' Neil Walker returns from paternity leave

The New York Mets activated second baseman Neil Walker from the paternity leave list.

What It Means:

Earlier in the week, Walker and his wife welcomed their first child into the world, but he's now back with the club. In a corresponding move, T.J. Rivera has been optioned. Walker is slashing .278/.341/.468 in 449 plate appearances this season.

Walker's 22 home runs are one shy of tying his career high and his .344 wOBA is above his career average of .337. We project him to hit five more taters and post an .805 OPS over the rest of the year.
