Texas Rangers outielder Carlos Gomez made a big splash in his Rangers' debut, crushing a three-run home run in his first at-bat in a 9-0 blowout win over the Cleveland Indians.
The Rangers signed Gomez after the Houston Astros made efforts to trade him and ultimately put him on release waivers last week.
Gomez has been having a rough year from the dish, slashing only .211/.272/.331 with an ugly .263 wOBA through 327 plate appearances.
