Jay Bruce (calf) out of the Mets' lineup against St. Louis
New York Mets right fielder Jay Bruce (calf) is not in the lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday.
Brue left Wednesday's game in the second inning with cramping in his calf, and the issue appears to be lingering. Alejandro De Aza will will start in his place.
Bruce is having a strong season, slashing .248/.305/.512 with a .341 wOBA and a career-high .264 ISO through 488 plate appearances.
