Twins' Joe Mauer having quad issues
Minnesota Twins first baseman Joe Mauer is having issues with his quad, Twins' manager Paul Moliter confirmed.
What It Means:
This explains Mauer's absence from the lineup on Wednesday and Thursday. He missed some time last week with the issue as well, so the Twins may opt to hold him out for a few games to allow time to recover.
Mauer is having a decent year from the plate, slashing .276/.375/.337 with a .337 wOBA and .129 ISO that are his best marks since 2013.
