Los Angeles Angels pitcher Matt Shoemaker dealt six scoreless innings on Wednesday as the Angels topped the Toronto Blue Jays 8-2.
Shoemaker only struck out three in the game, but he also only allowed three hits and one walk. It was an impressive outing, and the last time he made a start without giving up any runs was in a complete game shutout on July 16.
Shoemaker owns a 3.98 ERA and 3.95 SIERA on the season, while he has managed a 21.1 percent strikeout rate and 4.7 percent walk rate over 151 2/3 innings pitched.
