Yasmany Tomas (back) rides bench for Diamondbacks Wednesday
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Yasmany Tomas (back) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Braves.
Tomas was forced out of Tuesday's loss to the Braves due to mid-back stiffness. The Diamondbacks don't believe this is a serious injury, but they are giving him Wednesday off to rest just in case. Brandon Drury will man right field in his place and bat eighth, but Tomas will be available to pinch-hit.
Tomas has been having a strong season, slashing .267/.310/.519 with career-highs in wOBA (.349) and ISO (.252) through 432 plate appearances.
