Kendall Graveman OUT

Kendall Graveman's gem helps lead Athletics to victory

Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Kendall Graveman fired 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball Wednesday in a 5-1 win over the Cleveland Indians.

What It Means:

Graveman had the support of Oakland's offense in this one, as he enjoyed a 5-0 lead after the second inning while scattering six hits and two walks with a pair of punchouts. The one blemish was the result of a Roberto Perez one-run homer in the top of the seventh, which actually had to be reviewed. The 25-year-old right-hander has recorded a stellar 3.36 ERA across his last 18 starts (112 2/3 innings). Next up is a date next week with the Houston Astros.

For the season, Graveman has now twirled a 3.97 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 13.74 strikeout percentage (league average is 21.0 percent) across 149 2/3 innings of work. He is 10-8 through 25 starts.
