Twins' Byung-Ho Park to have wrist surgery
Minnesota Twins first baseman Byung-Ho Park will undergo season-ending surgery on his right wrist.
Park will be going under the knife to repair a subluxation of a tendon in the back of his hand, which is surprisingly unrelated to the tendinitis he was diagnosed with in his right wrist earlier this month, according to the Twins. The 30-year-old first baseman will be on the shelf for the rest of the season.
In his first year of major league action, Park was batting just .191/.275/.409 in 244 plate appearances on the season before being sent down to Triple-A Rochester in July. He tallied 12 home runs, 28 RBI's and one stolen base.
