New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes said on Wednesday that he does not plan to use the opt-out clause in his contract this winter.
While there's a long time before the official decision can be made, this isn't the first time Cespedes has claimed that he doesn't intend to opt out of the deal.
Cespedes is having an excellent season, slashing .295/.365/.570 with a career-high .389 wOBA and .275 ISO through 394 plate appearances.
