Scott Kazmir dealing with back, neck issues for Dodgers
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Scott Kazmir will be examined Tuesday in Los Angeles due to recent issues with his back and neck.
Kazmir was only able to pitch 2 2/3 innings on Monday against the Cincinnati Reds. His control has looked shaky as of late -- he owns a 14.61 walk percentage over his last four outings -- so it's not surprising to hear that he's dealing with some physical issues. After being examined on Tuesday, more information should be known regarding his status.
Kazmir now owns a poor 4.20 xFIP across 135 1/3 innings pitched this season. We currently project him to record a 4.00 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP over the rest of the year.
