Tigers schedule Jordan Zimmerman for Friday rehab start
Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (lat) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Friday.
What It Means:
Zimmerman pitched in a simulated game Sunday morning and had no issues, so he will take the mound in Toledo on Friday night for the first of three rehab starts. If all goes well with the Mud Hens, Zimmerman should be ready to return to Detroit in about three weeks.
Zimmermann owns a 4.44 ERA and a 4.66 xFIP in 97 1/3 innings this season.
