Pirates' Tyler Glasnow set for rehab start on Monday
Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) will resume his rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on Monday.
Glasnow was forced to leave his rehab start early last week, but he is expected to see four innings and/or 65 pitches on Monday in Double-A Altoona. The Pirates' prospect was injured about a month ago with this shoulder issue, so hopefully his soreness last week was just a minor setback.
Glasnow only has two major league starts under his belt, and he has struggled across a combined 8 1/3 innings, posting a 5.43 ERA, 4.19 SIERA, 17.95 percent strikeout rate and 12.82 percent walk rate. In Triple-A Indianapolis this season, Glasnow has a 1.94 ERA and 30.35 strikeout rate to go along with a troublesome 13.68 walk rate.
