Marlins activate A.J. Ramos from disabled list

The Miami Marlins have activated starting pitcher A.J. Ramos from the 15-day disabled list.

What It Means:

Ramos missed only the required 15 days after fracturing his middle finger. The Marlins could reportedly ease him back into the closing role, so don't fire him back up immediately in your year-long fantasy leagues. Fernando Rodney could also be used in the ninth inning to help protect Ramos and to see if his finger can hold up for the rest of the season.

Ramos owns a 3.05 ERA, 4.09 xFIP and 29.02 strikeout percentage across 44 1/3 innings of work this season. Through 46 frames in 2016, Rodney has twirled a 3.55 xFIP and 27.13 percent strikeout rate for both the Marlins and San Diego Padres.
